Fayetteville Man Arrested In Connection With Rape While Woman Was Sleeping

Update: Prosecutors dropped the rape charge against Dylan May on Sept. 17, 2015.

FAYETTEVILLE -- Police arrested Dylan May on Thursday in connection with a rape on Aug. 9.

May, 28, of 644 W. Maple St. Apt. 2 turned himself in at the Police Department, according to police.

A woman told police she was raped by May, her boyfriend's co-worker.

May and the woman's boyfriend had gotten off work early and were drinking and playing video games, according to an arrest report.

The woman went upstairs to nap and woke to May performing oral sex on her, according to the report.

When she tried to get away, he grabbed her arm, asked if she was OK and then fled, according to the report.

May was being held Friday in the Washington County Detention Center in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
