Final preparations for the Easter egg hunt to be given this afternoon at Forest park have been made, and the Little Rock Railway and Electric Company is prepared to show the kiddies of Little Rock the time of their lives. The egg hunt was to have been given last Saturday afternoon but the rain prevented. The boys and girls also will be repaid well by “seeing themselves” as heroes and heroines in the “movies” soon, as films will be made of the egg hunt and will be shown in local moving picture theaters as soon as possible.

Shareholders representing about 67.5 percent of Holly Farms Corp.’s stock either voted against a proposed merger with ConAgra Inc. or abstained from voting, according to figures released Monday. Votes cast in favor of the merger in a shareholders meeting Friday represented only 32.5 percent of Holly Farms’ shares. The vote terminates the tentative merger agreement between the two companies, and increases Tyson Foods Inc.’s chance of acquiring Holly Farms. “I’m ecstatic,” Tyson attorney James Blair said Monday. Holly Farms “needed a two-thirds vote from their shareholders, and they didn’t get even a third of the shareholders.” Abstaining from the vote Friday was the same as casting a vote for Tyson, Blair said.
