Teen held in Conway killing faces new charge

CONWAY - A Morrilton woman already jailed in the Father’s Day slaying of Quenton Alexander faces an Oct. 7 pretrial hearing after being charged with capital murder.

Sierra Nicole Cook, 18, was charged previously with hindering apprehension or prosecution of her co-defendant, Lee Foster, 27, of Morrilton in the June 16 shooting death of Alexander, 23, of Conway outside a motel. She was held in lieu of a $250,000 bond until the prosecuting attorney’s office filed the additional charge against her this week in Faulkner County Circuit Court. She is now being held in the Faulkner County jail without bail.

Foster, 27, of Morrilton also is charged with first-degree battery in the wounding of a second man outside Motel 6 at 1105 Skyline Drive in Conway. He has pleaded innocent.

Police said they think Cook and Foster were romantically involved. Cook had already pleaded innocent to hindering apprehension and earlier this week pleaded innocent to the capital-murder charge. Alexander was shot while sitting in a car in the motel parking lot. Police said they think the other man was shot because he saw Foster at the crime scene.
