Police: Man Stole 77 Tire Rims FAYETTEVILLE - A Winslow man was arrested Thursday after he admitted stealing77 tire rims from an auto salvage yard, according to police.

Gregory Hall, 25, of 330 Maple, faces felony charges inconnection with commercial burglary and theft of property.

He also faces a possible parole violation.

Police investigated a burglary report Monday at U.S. 62 Auto Salvage Sales, 3595 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

According to an arrest report, the owner of the business said 142 rims, worth $8,890, were taken from the property and sold for scrap metal at USA Metal Recycling in Fayetteville and Lowell.

Police said they identified 77 rims from the salvage yard at USA Metal in Fayetteville, 1400 S. Warford Drive. The rims recovered are worth $4,875, according to the report.

Hall loaded the rims into his truck and made four trips to USA Metal and Recycling in Fayetteville and Lowell, according to the report.

Hall was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was being held without bond Friday.

Police: Man Stabbed Father In Leg FAYETTEVILLE - Police arrested a Farmington man Thursday after officers said he stabbed his dad in the leg while trying to stab himself in the neck at Finger Park.

Walter Lyn Templeton, 44, of 167 Countryside Drive faces felony charges in connection with aggravated assaulton a family member and second-degree domestic battery.

Fayetteville police went to Finger Park, 1525 E.

Farmers Road, for a report of a suicidal person.

According to an arrest report, Templeton had just stabbed his father in the leg and was threatening to stab himself in the neck.

Templeton dropped the knife at the request of police, according to the report.

Templeton told investigators he accidentally stabbed his father when he tried to stop Templeton from stabbing himself, according to the report.

Templeton was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center, where he was being held without bond Friday.
