Little Rock’s Capital Hotel and Orbea bicycles are teaming up for a special weekend of Big Dam Bridge 100 events.
The Capital Hotel/Orbea Street Party is 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Second and Main streets in Little Rock.
Recover from a hard day on the bike with a roast pig feast; quaff a few Diamond Bear beers; meet elite and professional cyclists while scoping out the new models from Orbea. Cost is $50.
Sleep in on Sunday and then take an easy recovery spin and grab a bite during the Orbea Ride and Lunch, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday. The ride begins at Second and Main, proceeds leisurely (it’s a nodrop ride) to Scott Heritage Farm, where cyclists will be fed a farm-to-table lunch made with “peak-season local ingredients” and served in the Capital Hotel’s “Southern comfortable” style. Price is $65.
A 100 Miles or More weekend deal includes two nights at the Capital Hotel; valet parking; breakfast Saturday and Sunday; reception on Friday with elite and pro riders, Bicycling magazine editor Peter Flax and George Hincapie; the Saturday evening street party; and the Sunday morning ride and lunch.
Prices begin at $614.
