DEADLINES
Submit by 4 p.m. Monday to be considered for publication in the following Sunday’s paper.
Engagements will be published any Sunday before the wedding. Six weeks before is customary. Weddings older than six months cannot be printed.
Anniversary announcements will be printed at five-year intervals from 25 to 50. Anniversaries after the 50th will be printed for any year.
PHOTOGRAPHS
To ensure the quality of reproduction, we have some specific guidelines for submission.
An original 4-by-6-inch photographer’s studio print is preferred. Photos from desktop printers (even those noted for picture quality), commercial scanners, copy machines and Polaroids do not reproduce well and will not be used.
For electronic submission, send a studio printas a jpg image with at least a 250 dpi resolution and 1,460-by-2,000 pixels. Include the couple’s last names in the name of the file.
Pictures will be published showing the head and shoulders of the couple. For best reproduction, such a portrait is preferred for submission.
The photo may include the couple or only the bride; no children or pets are allowed. Separate photos of the couple cannot be used as a set.
We cannot guarantee return of the photo. Do not submit one-of-a-kind pictures.
Photos must remain in the custody of the paper until they are published.
Photos will be available for pickup at the Springdale office after publication.
