Wreck it! The contestants gather at county fairgrounds and other dirt arenas to ram each other’s cars to pieces. Demolition derby is a spectacle made of bravado and ball caps, spray-painted junkers and the nerve to collide on purpose.

On Sept. 14, 2013, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette photographer Benjamin Krain captured the sights and sounds of the "Demolition Derby" at the White County Fair in Des Arc in this stop-motion video composed of 2,430 still images shot with a tilt-shift lens.
