The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department will close lanes along Interstate 540 between Johnson Mill Boulevard and U.S. 412 for routine maintenance to the driving surface.
Lane closures will only take place between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, although adjustments could be make because of weather.
The lane closings may happen on northbound and southbound lanes, according to the highway department. Drivers can expect either the right or left lanes closed at various times of the day.
The highway departments urges drivers to obey posted speed limits and obey traffic law while crews work on the highway.
