100 YEARS AGO March 21, 1913 At a meeting of the Arkansas National Guard Association at the Hotel Marion last night, arrangements were made for continuing the guard for the next two years, despite the fact that no appropriation was made by the legislature. An offer was made by the Board of Trade of Helena to subscribe $3,500 for this purpose, provided the encampment is held at that city. A meeting of the Little Rock Board of Trade has been called to consider the proposition of making an offer for the encampment.
