Police Investigate String Of Break-Ins

FAYETTEVILLE — Police are investigating a string of car break-ins over the past two days.

Police Sgt. Craig Stout said four were reported Thursday and five more by 4 p.m. Friday.

Stout said the windows were broken and items in plain sight taken. Stolen items included purses and electronics.

He said the crimes were on Sunbridge Drive, Township Street, Summerhill Drive and scattered across town.

“It was mostly main thoroughfares,” he said. “Places like gyms and day cares where people run in for a minute and come back out. That’s how fast it’s happening.”

Police hadn’t made any arrests as of Friday.
