Greenland repeats as champs

LITTLE ROCK The Greenland Lady Pirates won their second consecutive Class 3A state girls basketball championship in a 59-32 win over Jessieville on Thursday in Barton Coliseum.
The Lady Pirates (20-13) trailed 6-0, but seized control with a 13-0 run and never looked back in a mercy-rule win over the previously unbeaten Lady Lions.
Morgan Miller scored 14 points to lead Greenland and Kiana Thompson, who was named the game's Most Valuable Player, scored 9 points to go along with 9 rebounds.
Justice Releford led Jessieville with 13 points.
