Fayetteville Attorney Surrenders License

FAYETTEVILLE — Charles Stutte, a Fayetteville lawyer facing disbarment, gave up his law license.

The Arkansas Supreme Court on Thursday issued an order stating Stutte petitioned to voluntarily give up his license to practice law June 7.

The order removed Stutte from the registry of licensed lawyers in the state and barred him from practicing law.

The Supreme Court Committee on Professional Conduct recommended the court accept the voluntary surrender of Stutte’s license in lieu of probable disbarment proceedings, according to the order.

Stutte acknowledged he wanted to avoid the expense, stress and publicity of disbarment proceedings, according to the order.
