The Northwest Arkansas Genealogical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Bentonville Public Library, 405 S. Main St. Joshua Youngblood from the Special Collections Department at the University of Arkansas will present “Genealogy with Archival Images.”

Alpha Kappa Alpha

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Phi Alpha Omega Chapter, celebrated its 15th Chartering Anniversary Saturday. The members-only event included recognizing charter members and a retrospective of the history of Phi Alpha Omega - chartered May 16, 1998, in Bentonville - and its impact on the Northwest Arkansas community.

The event was held at the Jenelle Y. Hembree Alumni House on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville with Polly Turner, former Alpha Kappa Alpha regional director from Houston, as the special guest.

Ladies Day Out

Bella Vista Ladies Day Out will meet July 1 for lunch at the Weinkeller Restaurant and a Wiederkehr Winery tour, followed by a stop at the Kopper-Kettle Candy shop in Alma. Participants should plan to meet a 9:30 a.m. in the Bible Evangelical Free Church parking lot in Bella Vista for carpooling. Reservations: (479) 270-9016.

Reservations are now being accepted for the Aug. 11 Rogers Little Theater production of “The King and I.” Seating is limited, and payment is due by Aug. 5. Spouses are welcome at this event.

Coupon Club

The Coupon Club of Northwest Arkansas iscurrently collecting for its Moore, Okla., school supply drive that will benefit the schools that were destroyed in the tornado. Drop-off locations include the Bella Vista and Farmington libraries and American Legion Post 100 in Rogers.

The group meets at 9:30 a.m. the first and third Mondays of each month and at 6 p.m. the second Monday night at the community room at Village Insurance in Bella Vista.

The organization’s purpose is to teach realistic couponing to save money and give back to the community. Each meeting includes free coupons, and there is no fee to join.

Hill N Dale Hikers will host an ice cream social from 6:30 to 9 p.m. July 13 at the Village Insurance Agency in Bella Vista.

The Bella Vista Lions Club will meet at 5:45 p.m.

July 2 for a dinner buffet meeting at Concordia Retirement Center’s main building, 1 Concordia Drive. Lisa A. Reeves, local attorney, will present the “human side” of estate planning. All guests are welcome to attend. Dinner is available for $9.
