BEARDEN - Arkansas State Police said a Bearden woman and a 9-year-old girl were killed in a car crash in Calhoun County.
State police said 27-yearold Lacy Welch was driving south on Arkansas 79 on Wednesday morning when her car rear-ended a tractor-trailer in front of her. Welch was killed in the crash along with 9-year-old Alexia Welch.
State police said the driver of the tractor-trailer wasn’t injured in the accident.
A preliminary report said conditions were dry and clear at the time of the fatal crash.
