Benton County

Sheriff’s Office

• Gaylon Neal Martin, 55, 14111 Cloverdale Road in Rogers was arrested Monday in connection with aggravated assault and terroristic threatening in the first degree. Martin was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

• Brandon Wesley Uhrig, 18, of 640 N. 12th Place Apt. 5 in Rogers was arrested Monday in connection with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with purpose to deliver a controlled substance. Uhrig was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

Elm Springs

• Joshua Williams, 35, of 704 Crutcher St. in Springdale was arrested Tuesday in connection with felony breaking or entering and theft of property, along with misdemeanor failure to appear. He also faces charges from another department. He was in the Washington County Detention Center on $6,420 bond Tuesday.

Johnson

• Yvette Hill, 46, of 6100 S. Wilkerson St. in Fayetteville was arrested Tuesday in connection with felony continuing criminal enterprise and forgery. She was in the Washington County Detention Center on $2,500 bond Tuesday.

Rogers

• Ricky Lee Swanson, 47, of 15342 Tulsa Drive was arrested Tuesday in connection with possession of drug paraphernalia. Swanson was being held Tuesday in the Benton County Jail with no bond set.

Springdale

• David Avila-Zapien, 33, of 1706 Powell St. No. 203 was arrested Monday in connection with felony parole violation, misdemeanor third-degree battery, first-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. Police said Avila-Zapien assaulted a man in his apartment complex. Avila-Zapien was in the Washington County Detention Center on Tuesday on the parole violation.

Washington County Sheriff’s Office

• Cody Keen, 19, of 273 W. Village Lake Drive in Fayetteville was arrested Tuesday in connection with felony fraudulent use of a credit card and theft by receiving. He was in the Washington County Detention Center on $2,500 bond Tuesday.

Fire

Springdale

• A fire reported about 6:30 p.m. Monday that burned playground equipment at the Head Start building, 800 Airport Ave., was believed to be started by fireworks. No one was injured, and the only damage was to the plastic equipment.

Accidents

Rogers

• A 52-year-old woman was hospitalized after a car and trailer collided at 13th Street and New Hope Road on Monday. Traffic in eastbound lanes was blocked for about 20 minutes.

• A Ford van hit an apartment building at 904 E. Post Road on Monday. A woman parking at the building reportedly hit the the vehicle's accelerator instead of the brakes.

• A 35-year-old man was hospitalized after an accident Monday in the northbound lane of Interstate 540 near exit 81.

• A 5 p.m. accident between a Mazda and a Honda Accord blocked traffic on the roundabout at Pinnacle Hills and Pauline Whittaker Parkway.

• Lynn McCullough reported at 2:50 a.m. Monday someone stole the water softener off of his well head.

Rogers

• Mack King of King’s Lawn Care, 2721 W. Perry Road, reported a forgery on Monday after being paid for mulch with a bad check.

• Jessica Wood, 2905 W. Olive St., reported identification documents lost or stolen from her apartment on Monday.

• Identity theft was reported at Lowe’s, 300 N. 46th St., on Monday after a cardholder discovered a transaction made with a stolen debit card from Aurora, Mo.
