Rapper 50 Cent has denied allegations he attacked his ex-girlfriend and trashed her condo. The “In da Club” singer’s lawyer said there’s no warrant outstanding on the domestic violence and vandalism charges against the performer, whose real name is Curtis Jackson. If convicted, he faces up to five years in jail and $46,000 in fines. The woman told police that during a June 23 argument, Jackson began destroying property at her Toluca Lake condo before she locked herself in a bedroom. She said Jackson kicked open the bedroom door and kicked her, causing injury. Police estimated about $7,100 in damage to the home. The woman told police she had been in a three-year relationship and has a baby with Jackson. His arraignment is July 22. “Regardless of perceived celebrity or notoriety, domestic violence is a serious crime and alleged perpetrators will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by this office,” city attorney Mike Feuer said Wednesday.

A judge in Geneva has rejected an application from Shakira’s ex-boyfriend seeking rights to one of her bank accounts. Antonio de La Rua claims he should have access to one of Shakira’s accounts because it holds most of the assets from their business partnership. In documents dated June 17 and obtained by The Associated Press, the judge said that Shakira is the sole owner of the account. De La Rua has worked as one of Shakira’s business advisers. He said he and Shakira established an oral agreement to work professionally following their romantic split in 2011. The judge said that de La Rua does not have enough evidence to prove the two reached a professional agreement and that there are no written agreements. De La Rua has been waging an international fight against the Colombian singer, saying he shaped the “Shakira brand.” He has filed lawsuits in New York and Los Angeles.
