Trooper fired after having sex on duty

An Arkansas State Police trooper was fired Monday after an investigation found he had sex with a married woman while on his lunch break, records show.

The state police placed Trooper Zackary Saxon on administrative leave in November after starting an investigation into his relationship with the woman, according to the records.

The woman’s husband told the state police he had found messages and photographs that Saxon had sent to the woman’s e-mail address, as well as a text message from Saxon on her phone, records show.

Saxon told a state police investigator that he met the woman through Facebook.

He said they had sex at least once at his house while he was on his lunch break.

State police policy prohibits troopers from engaging in sexual activity while on duty.

In a teleconference Monday, the State Police Commission voted unanimously to fire Saxon.

Saxon was hired by the state police in February 2012. - ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTEThird person charged in murder

Authorities charged a third person Friday in the death of a Lonoke County man found along a road near Scott, said Lt. James Kulesa of the Lonoke County sheriff’s office.

Lonoke County Circuit Judge Sandy Huckabee ordered Holloway held in the Lonoke County jail. No bail was set.

Deputies found the body of Hurbert Dewayne Jackson, 27, of Little Rock on Bevis Road near Arkansas 15 just east of Scott on Jan. 19, Kulesa said. Jackson had been shot multiple times, he said.

Police arrested Jeremy Deshaun Davis, 29, of Lonoke, and Kayla Nicole Miller, 22, of Beebe, on Monday.

Davis was charged with capital murder and felon in possession of a firearm and ordered held without bond.

Miller was charged with hindering apprehension and is held in lieu of $250,000 bond.

Kulesa said the arrests came as the result of interviews with Jackson’s friends and family, who detailed Jackson’s whereabouts before he was killed.
