Mr Lemke says "Even a simpleton can understand [the 2nd Amendment]"
"On June 26, 2008, the Supreme Court affirmed the Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit in Heller v. District of Columbia.....In a dissenting opinion, Justice John Paul Stevens stated that the court's judgment was "a strained and unpersuasive reading" which overturned longstanding precedent, and that the court had "bestowed a dramatic upheaval in the law."

Not being a simpleton, how do you interpret the clause that begins the 2nd Amendment:
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State..."
If that is the reason for the right to bear arms, how do you get from there to the idea that the deep reason for the 2nd amendment is to support rebellion against the government?
