100 YEARS AGO Jan. 17, 1913 Joe T. Robinson at 2:20 o’clock yesterday afternoon succeeded George W. Donaghey as governor of the state of Arkansas. Preceded by members of committees from the house and Senate, Governor-elect Robinson, accompanied by Governor Donaghey, entered the House of Representatives. The entrance brought an outburst of applause from the crowded galleries and the members of the Senate and House of Representatives in joint session.
