— The Bentonville Public Library will host a floral exhibit by Bentonville native Stephen Coler from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The exhibit “Ikebana — Living Flowers, Living Art” will focus on the Japanese art of flower arrangement. Coler graduated from Bentonville High School in 1992 and has lived in Hanamaki, Japan, for the past 14 years. He works as an English teacher and holds the title of second-degree master in the Ohara School of Ikebana, according to a news release.

Coler prepared 12 different arrangements for the library exhibit, showcasing the different styles and forms of the school. The exhibit will also include several arrangements from the Zokei School using everyday materials such as coffee filters or paper cups, according to the release.

Coler will be at the library Friday and Saturday to discuss his work and answer questions.
