Police To Increase Traffic Patrol
Posted: February 28, 2013 at 2:52 a.m.
FAYETTEVILLE Police officers will increase traffic monitoring today on College Avenue between North Street and Millsap Road as part of a program to reduce accidents.
Officers look for drivers following too close, improperly using the center turn lane, failing to yield or to signal a turn or lane change, improper right turns, distracted driving and disobeying traffic signals.
The enforcement is part of a Police Department effort to improve driving habits on roads statistically shown to have a significant number of accidents.
