Nonprofit organizations make plans to raise money

GRAPE ESCAPES: A VINE AFFAIR BOST 1 6 p.m. - The 11th annual Grape Escapes: A Vine Affair will take place at the Holiday Inn City Center in Fort Smith. The Bost fundraiser willinclude food, auctions and 350 wines to taste. Must be 21 to attend. Tickets are $100. Information: (479) 478-5554.

CASINO ROYALE THE NEW SCHOOL 2 7 p.m. - The New School will hold its new fundraiser, Casino Royale, at the Fayetteville Town Center. The evening will feature casino gaming, live music from Boom! Kinetic, a live painting by Christina Mariotti and live and silent auctions that include a custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

SHOES AND BLUES SOIREE NORTHWEST ARKANSAS WOMEN’S SHELTER2 7:21 p.m. - Shoes and Blues Soiree, at the 21c Hotel in Bentonville, will benefit the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter. Guests will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and live blues. Attire is fabulous shoes and cocktail style. Tickets are $99 per person or $175 per couple. BAGS FOR BOOKS DOLLY PARTON IMAGINATION LIBRARY 7 11:30 a.m. - The inaugural Bags for Books luncheon and purse auction will be at the Springdale Holiday Inn to support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library’s efforts to boost school readiness. KISS A PIG AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION 9 6 p.m.-midnight - The 11th annual Kiss a Pig fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association, themed “Time for Pigs to Fly,” will feature special entertainment by REO Speedwagon.

The event at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers will also include dinner, live and silent auctions and a chance for fundraising candidates to kiss a pig, the first source of insulin for people with diabetes. BRUNCH DELTA KAPPA GAMMA9 10 a.m. - The Delta Kappa Gamma International Society for Key Women Educators will host a benefit brunch to recognize women arts educators at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers. Honorees include Linda Skelton, Gail Leftwich, Morgan Hicks, Susan Hutchcroft and Nancy Clark.

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS FASHION WEEK 1416 - Ten Northwest Arkansas nonprofit organizations will reap the benefits of 35 runway shows during Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week. The shows will feature local boutiques and designers and market leaders. Tickets for reserved seating are $35 per night or $100 for a weeklong pass. VIP reserved seats are $55 per night or $150 for a weeklong pass. VIP tickets include a L’Oreal Paris beauty gift bag. Organizations to benefitfrom the three days of shows are the Single Parent Scholarship Fund, Restore Humanity, Ozark Guidance, Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter, Junior League of Northwest Arkansas, Miller McNeil Woodruff Foundation, Art Amiss, American Cancer Society of Northwest Arkansas, 7 Hills Homeless Center and Spay Arkansas. PIGSHIBITION: PIGGIES GO TO MARKET OZARK LITERACY COUNCIL14 6 p.m. - The conclusion of the Ozark Literacy Council’s Pigshibition, Piggies Go to Market, will be at the Fayetteville Town Center. Hosted by Kyle Kellams and Dick Trammel, the evening will include a silent auction of autographed best-selling books and a live auction of the artist-decorated pigs that have been on display around Northwest Arkansas for the past several months.

PLAYHOUSE PALOOZA CASA OF NORTHWEST ARKANSAS 29 - Court Appointed Special Advocates of Northwest Arkansas’ Playhouse Palooza will take place at the Northwest Arkansas Mall through April 11. Donated playhouses will be available for sale by silent auction. The sale will conclude with theConstruction Bash at 6 p.m.

SPRING FLING 5K AND FAMILY FUN RUN MANA CHARITABLE FUND 30 8-11 a.m. - The inaugural MANA Charitable Fund Spring Fling 5K and Family Fun Run will be at North Hills Medical Park in Fayetteville. The race will begin and end at the Northwest Arkansas Pediatric Clinic Well Clinic. There will be chip timing for 5K runners, and all children in the fun run will receive a medal.
