BRANSON Branson police have arrested a 68-year-old southern California man charged with killing his wife inside their resort town hotel room.
Thomas Phillip Brown of Palm Springs, Calif., faces first-degree murder and armed criminal action charges in connection with the weekend death of Marilyn J. Brown, his 63-year-old wife. She was found dead Sunday, three days after the couple checked into the Ramada Resort and Conference Center on the Branson strip.
Police arrested Brown early Thursday at another Branson hotel, the Hampton Inn. Police Chief Kent Crutcher says Brown was the only person in the hotel room and was taken into custody without incident.
Each of the four homicides in Branson since 2007 has occurred in a hotel or motel.
