UALR wins 20th game

— Make it seven consecutive 20-victory seasons for the UALR women’s basketball team.

The Trojans (20-7, 12-6 Sun Belt Conference) won their ninth consecutive game Saturday, beating Florida Atlantic 60-43 at Boca Raton, Fla.

UALR shot 53.3 percent (24 of 45) from the field and held Florida Atlantic (12-15, 9-10) to a season-low 27.8 percent (15 of 54). The Trojans made all four of their three-point attempts while holding Florida Atlantic to 16.7 percent (2 of 12).

The Trojans out rebounded the Owls 35-30 and had 12 steals.

Junior Taylor Ford and sophomore Taylor Gault led the Trojans with 11 points apiece. Sophomore Kiera Clark had 10 points. Sophomore Ka’Nesheia Cobbins and freshman Shanity James led a balanced rebounding effort with six boards each.

Breana Turner led the Owls with 15 points.
