Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families will host its 12th annual Soup Sunday from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center at the Springdale Holiday Inn.

The event will feature soups from more than 25 local restaurants. Bread, cheese and desserts will also be served.

Restaurants featured include Cafe Rue Orleans, Vetro 1925, Tavola Trattoria, Table Mesa, Bordino’s, the Springdale Country Club and more. Musical entertainment will be provided by the McFedridge Jazz Combo.

Tickets cost $20 in advance or $25 at the door for adults.

Children ages 5 to 12 get in for $5.

  • ARKANSAS DEMOCRAT-GAZETTEArchitecture lecture is Monday Thomas Woltz will present Narratives of Ecology: Recent Work of Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Hembree Auditorium on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville. The auditorium is located in the Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences Building.

Woltz, a fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects, is owner of the firm, which has offices in Charlottesville, Va., and New York. The lecture is free and open to the public, but seating is limited.
