Earnings report

Companies reporting quarterly earnings Tuesday included: HCA Holdings Inc., the hospital operator, a profit of $314 million, or 68 cents a share, down from $1.94 billion, or $4.25 a share, a year ago. Revenue rose 13 percent to $9.54 billion. Shares fell 10 cents to close at $37.51.
