The warrant was issued after a Nov. 29 incident when officers responded to a 911 call about a shooting at the Jennifer Street residence. When officers arrived, they found James Phillips with a gunshot wound to his jaw.

Robin Phillips, his wife, was in the kitchen with a knife wound to her neck, according to police records.

The couple’s son knocked the gun from his mother’s hands, according to police. He told the dispatcher the couple was arguing about a wreck Robin Phillips had on her way home from work, according to a recording of the 911 call.

James Phillips was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, and Robin Phillips was taken to Northwest Medical Center-Springdale. Both have been released from the hospital.

An investigation determined the woman’s wound was self-inflicted, taking place after the shooting, according to the news release.

A cooperative effort between Rogers and Springdale police investigators led to the arrest, according to the release. Robin Phillips was scheduled to be moved to Springdale on Friday. The charges may be upgraded, according to the release.
