The cast and crew of the Arkansas Repertory Theatre production of Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman (onstage through May 12 at the Rep, 601 Main St., Little Rock) will take part in a “Lunch & Lecture” session, noon-1 p.m. Wednesday in Sturgis Hall, Clinton School of Public Service, 1200 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock. Pal Joey auditions

The Rep will also hold auditions for several roles in its world-premiere production of the “reconceived” musical Pal Joey on Saturday at the theater, 601 Main St., Little Rock.

Director Peter Schneider will be considering Equity and non-Equity actors for two men and two women. The musical - original music and lyrics by Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart, book by Patrick Pacheco, based on the short stories and Pal Joey libretto by John O’Hara; musical supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Michael Reno - opens the Rep’s 2013-2014 season, Sept. 6-22 with a possible extension to Sept. 29. Rehearsals start Aug. 13.

Comic hypnotist

Comedy hypnotist The Sandman returns this week to the Loony Bin Comedy Club, Breckenridge Village Shopping Center, Interstate 430 and North Rodney Parham Road, with shows at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday (tickets are $8) and 7:30 and 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday ($12).

Rogers wardrobe

The Rogers Little Theater will stage Love, Loss and What I Wore by Nora and Delia Ephron, based on the book by Ilene Beckerman, in a dinner theater setting at 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday and May 9-11 and 2 p.m. Sunday and May 12 at the Victory Theater, 116 S. Second St., Rogers.

The show consists of monologues and ensemble pieces about women and wardrobe. It contains adult language and is recommended for mature audiences. Children under age 5 will not be admitted. The theater will sell the set accessories before each performance, with half the proceeds going to the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter. Sponsors are Starbucks and SB Howard & Co.

Lombardi auditions

Rogers Little Theater will hold auditions for Lombardi by Eric Simonson, based on the biography When Pride Still Mattered: A Life of Vince Lombardi by David Maraniss, 7 p.m. Monday and May 7 at the Victory Theater.

South Pacific tryouts

Murry’s Dinner Playhouse, 6323 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, will hold auditions at 6:30 p.m. Monday for Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific. Prepare 16 bars of a song and take a photo, resume and sheet music for the accompanist, as well as dance attire for the movement portion of the audition. Production dates are July 23-Aug. 31. King & I auditions

The Royal Players will hold auditions for Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King & I at 6 p.m. May 12 and 7 p.m. May 13 at the Royal Theatre, 111 S. Market St., Benton.

Prepare a song and take sheet music for the accompanist. Auditions will also include cold readings from the script. Parts are available for actors of all ages and both sexes, including more than a dozen children. Tim Sopel will direct.

Artist Inc.

The Argenta Arts Foundation, in partnership with the Arkansas Arts Council, the Mid-America Arts Alliance and the Arts Council of Metropolitan Kansas City, is hosting Artist Inc. Argenta, a training program that addresses the specific business needs and challenges of artists, including:

New Device
