BENTONVILLE — The Bentonville Public Library will give away free comic books from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Free Comic Book Day is a nationwide event pairing libraries and comic book shops to stimulate reading among all ages. Comics provided are special editions sent to comic book shops and libraries from distributors, according to a news release.
The Bentonville library will host various activities and prize drawings during the event, including a costume contest. The library encourages people to dress as their favorite superhero on Free Comic Book Day for a chance at a prize.
People can bring old comic books and trade at the comic book exchange.
