Fayetteville 3, Memphis Houston, Tenn. 2

Down to its last at-bat, Fayetteville rallied with two runs in the top of the seventh for a win in Memphis on Friday.

Trailing 2-1 after six innings, the Bulldogs got a one-out single from Logan Hiatt. Pinch runner Cody Davenport stole two bases and scored on an RBI single by Blake Power to tie the game. Power would then score the winning run on a wild pitch.

Kyle Pate improved to 6-0 on the mound, allowed just three hits and striking out 11 in seven innings.

Girls

Bentonville 6, Van Buren 0

Tayler Estrada recorded a hat trick in the first half, and Bentonville coasted to a 7A/6A-West Conference victory at Van Buren.

Annea Hellgren and McKenzie Dixon each added a goal as the Lady Tigers (12-3-1, 6-0) rolled to a 5-0 halftime lead. Dixon then scored the only second-half goal and caused the sportsmanship rule to go into effect.

Bentonville can clinch the conference title — its sixth straight regular-season championship — with a win next week at Fayetteville.

Rogers Heritage 4, Booneville, Mo. 0

Ellen Lundy scored a goal and added two assists to lead the Lady War Eagles to victory Friday at the Laker Inviational in Camdenton, Mo.

Emily Seiler also added two goals and Raya Jones one goal for the Lady War Eagles (13-4-2). Heritage will play in the semifinals this morning at 10 a.m.

Boys

Bentonville 8, Van Buren 0

Josh Howard scored two goals in the first half and led Bentonville to an easy 7A/6A-West Conference victory at Van Buren.

Nathan Wunschel added a goal as the Tigers (6-8-2, 2-4) took a 3-0 halftime lead, then scored a second goal in the second half. Hector Ramos scored a pair of goals in the second half, while Reid Brown and Spencer McMillon had one goal apiece.

Gentry 2, Dardanelle 0

Pedro Palacios and Shane Anderson each scored on penalty kicks to lift the Pioneers past the Sand Lizards on Wednesday.

Gentry 7, Bergman 0

Shane Anderson (2) and Robbie Massey (2) led the Pioneers potent offensive attack against the Panthers on Friday. Alex Hunter, Gustavo Hernandez and Wa Chang each added a goal in the blowout victory.
