Westerbergs Win Tournament

Jason Westerberg and Jim Westerberg won the Crappie Masters Children’s Miracle Network benefit tournament Saturday at Beaver Lake with seven crappie that weighed 9.55 pounds.

Gene Davis and Alton Pennington were second with seven crappie at 8.46 pounds. Dan Dannenmueller Sr. and Garrett Steele placed third with seven crappie at 8.34 pounds.

Barry Dunlap and Jacob McConnell had the largest crappie at 1.99 pounds.

Duo Notches Second Win

Larry Walker and Jared Goble won the Everett Maxey Team Trail bass tournament held March 23 at Beaver Lake.

They had five bass that weighed 19.29 pounds, including a largemouth of 7.04 pounds that won the big bass prize.

It was the team’s second consecutive Everett Maxey tournament win.

Rocky Hopkins and Justin Hathorn were second with five bass at 18.05 pounds. Jeff Cook and Johnny Porter placed third with five bass at 17.31 pounds.

Holt, Foster Win Guys, Gals Event

Teddy Holt and April Foster won the Beaver Lake Guys and Gals bass tournament held March 24, with five bass that weighed 12.64 pounds.

Justin and Pam Mounce were second with five bass at 10.84 pounds.

Jim and June Long had big bass at 3.68 pounds.

Most fish were caught on Alabama rigs or jerk baits.

Boat Safety Course Set For Bella Vista

A free boating safety course will be offered in Bella Vista at Riordan Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

May 4.

The course is open to the public. It meets the requirement that boat operators born after Jan. 1, 1986 must take a boating safety course.
