Five Accidents Report Friday

— Five motorcycle accidents were reported Friday night during Bikes, Blues & BBQ, according to Fayetteville police.

No one suffered life-threatening injuries, according to a news release, but two people taken to Washington Regional Medical Center.

Arkansas State Police have worked nearly a dozen motorcycle accidents along Interstate 540 since the rally began Wednesday.

Six people were arrested on misdemeanor charges in Fayetteville on Friday night involving public intoxication, disorderly conduct and driving while intoxicated. Most of those arrested were from Northwest Arkansas and one person was from Missouri.

A Springdale man was arrested on a felony charge of leaving the scene of an accident after police said he rear-ended a motorcycle on Dickson Street and fled toward College Avenue. The driver of the motorcycle suffered minor injuries.

Police closed Dickson Street at noon Thursday because of traffic congestion and pedestrians.
