LITTLE ROCK — A Conway man died Friday from injuries he received when his dump truck ran off a road and struck a tree in White County, according to a preliminary Arkansas State Police fatality accident report.
About 8:46 a.m., Phillip Jackson, 67, was driving north on Arkansas 305 when he lost control of his International dump truck. The vehicle ran off the road into the ditch on the south side of the road and struck a tree. The truck then stopped in the ditch on the north side of the road.
Jackson was taken to Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, where he was pronounced dead about 12:15 p.m.
