CLASS 4A

POTTSVILLE 39, DARDANELLE 10

POTTSVILLE - Michael Perry scored three touchdowns as Pottsville (5-0, 2-0 4-4A) handed Dardanelle (4-1, 1-1) its first loss of the season.

Perry scored on runs of 40 and 44 yards and returned an interception 70 yards for his other touchdown.

Corey Campbell added two touchdown for Pottsville on runs of 2 and 3 yards, and Micah Parker scored on a 5-yard run.

T.J. Tucker returned a kickoff 75 yards for Dardanelle, and Antonio Garcia kicked a field goal.

MENA 48, DOVER 7

DOVER - John Ballentine ran 9 times for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead Mena over Dover (0-5, 0-2 4-4A).

The Bearcats (2-3, 1-1) led 16-0 early in the second quarter and 42-0 at halftime.

Ballentine’s first touchdown run covered 54 yards.

BOONEVILLE 47, SUBIACO ACADEMY 0

BOONEVILLE - Cody Harrell ran for two scores and Booneville’s defense did the rest as the Bearcats shut out Subiaco Academy.

Harrell scored on runs of 79 and 12 yards as Booneville jumped out to a big lead in the first quarter and never was threatened.

Bryson May also scored on a 40-yard run.

MAUMELLE 42, WALDRON 0

MAUMELLE - Terry Rhodes ran for two touchdowns, caught a touchdown pass and threw another as Maumelle (3-2, 2-0 4-4A) defeated Waldron (0-5, 0-2).

Rhodes hit Jaylyn Smith with a 60-yard touchdown pass.

A.J. Turner had a 25-yard touchdown run, and Braylin Waits scored on a 50-yard run.

Hunter Cockrell kicked a 25-yard field goal.

CLASS 3A

ELKINS 33, MOUNTAIN VIEW 14

MOUNTAIN VIEW - Mitchell Clark threw four touchdown passes and ran for another as Elkins won its 1-3A Conference game.

Three of Clark’s touchdown passes went to Trent Bulla, and the two that came in the first quarter covered 77 and 40 yards to givbe Elkins (1-4, 1-1) a 13-0 lead. Bulla also caught a 6-yard touchdown pass in the fourth quarter.

Clark’s 6-yard run in the third quarter gave Elkins a 19-0 lead and he also threw a 17-yard touchdown to Cody Downum in the second half.

Mountain View fell to 0-5 overall and 1-2 in the 1-3A.

MELBOURNE 20, GREEN FOREST 14

MELBOURNE - Ben Cooper ran for two touchdowns as Melbourne defeated Green Forest.

Cooper scored on runs of 5 and 17 yards in the second half.

Melbourne’s other touchdown came on a 30-yard pass from Tyler McLaughlin to Conor Fogle.

GREENLAND 15, YELLVILLE-SUMMIT 14

YELLVILLE - Mateo Barausse kicked a 20-yard field goal with 2 seconds left to give Greenland (3-2, 2-0, 1-3A Conference) a victory at Yellville-Summit (2-3, 1-1 1-3A).

Darian Froud threw two touchdown passes, both to Evan Johnson, but Greenland (3-2, 2-0 1-3A Conference) missed two point conversions after both scores.

CLASS 2A

HACKETT 46, WESTERN YELL COUNTY 0

HAVANA - William Thomas threw three touchdown passes and ran for another as the Hornets (5-0, 2-0) blanked the Wolverines in a 4-2A game.

Hackett’s defense forced five turnovers, and Thomas was 9 for 9 on 277 yards passing, connecting with Tanner Sweeten, Trevor Thompson and Zach White for touchdowns.

Sweeten finished with 151 receiving yards, and Thompson finished with 72 yards receiving.

Levi Wigginton had six carries for 106 yards and a touchdown. Dustin Kirkpatrick and C.J. Clem also scored a touchdown on short runs.

TALIHINA (OKLA.) 55, UNION CHRISTIAN 6

TALIHINA, Okla. - Union Christian fell to Talihina in a nonconference game to remain winless this season (0-5).

Braxton Smith passed 30 yards to Will Calloway for Union Christian’s lone score.

MAGAZINE 16, HECTOR 13

MAGAZINE - Mason Suttles’ 75-yard run on the first play of the fourth quarter gave Magazine a 4-2A victory.

Magazine (2-3, 1-2) also scored in second quarter on Charley Moua’s 11-yard run, but Hector led 13-8 at halftime.

Hunter Davis caught a 64-yard pass from Logan Riley in the first quarter for Hector and Terry Nichols added a 1-yard run in the second quarter.
