LITTLE ROCK — Arkansas State will be in similar company with Western Kentucky on Saturday: Both will be without key defensive players serving suspensions.
The Sun Belt Conference suspended red shirt sophomore linebacker Qushaun Lee on Wednesday for a helmet-to-helmet hit against Alcorn State quarterback John Gibbs during a 56-0 victory Saturday, according to a release from the conference office.
Late in the second quarter, Gibbs escaped the pocket for an 8-yard gain and was tackled by Lee, who lowered his head as he dove into a sliding Gibbs.
