LINCOLN 37, BERRYVILLE 6

BERRYVILLE - Drew Harris ran for a touchdown and passed for another and Dalton Simmons scored two rushing touchdowns as Lincoln (4-0, 1-0 1-4A) downed Berryville (1-3, 0-1).

Harris scored on a 16-yard run in the first quarter and threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Patrick Haynes in the third quarter.

Simmons scored on runs of 1 and 50 yards, and Kyle Handy scored on a 3-yard run.

Manuel Ortiz also kicked a 30-yard field goal for Lincoln.

Ethan Chapin scored Berryville’s touchdown on a 1-yard run.

FARMINGTON 61, GENTRY 20

GENTRY - Running back Spencer Boudrey rushed for 192 yards and 2 touchdowns on just 12 carries, including a 74-yard run that helped spark Farmington’s offense in a victory over Gentry (1-3, 0-1).

After trailing 14-0, Farmington (4-0, 1-0) got its offense going, scoring 47 consecutive points to turn the game into a rout.

Keaton Austin completed 9 of 10 passes for 139 yards and 3 touchdowns, including a 15-yarder to Boudrey. The two also hooked up for a two-point conversion.

Austin’s 27-yard touchdown pass to Michael Ingram with 31 seconds left in the opening quarter gave the Cardinals a lead they would not relinquish.

PEA RIDGE 21, GRAVETTE 13

PEA RIDGE - Dayton Winn finished with 193 yards on 23 carries with 2 touchdowns, one rushing and one passing, to lead Pea Ridge (4-0, 1-0) past Gravette (1-3, 0-1).

Winn scored from 23 yards out in the second half and later added a 46-yard score on a screen pass as the Blackhawks defeated Gravette for the first time since 1994.

Pea Ridge jumped out to a 21-0 lead on Austin Easterling’s 33-yard touchdown run.

PRAIRIE GROVE 30, OZARK 6

OZARK - Weston Bartholomew rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries to lead Prairie Grove to a victory over Ozark.

Jon Halbert returned an interception 62 yards for a touchdown for the Tigers (3-0, 1-0), who won their first two games while outscoring opponents 84-0.

Ozark (3-1, 0-1) broke the scoreless streak when Ty Radley caught a 24-yard pass from quarterback Jonathon McKenizie with 3:32 left in the game. The Tigers then added a final touchdown when Noah Hunter scored on a 38-yard run.

Logan Bartholomew added 110 yards on 11 carries for Prairie Grove.

HEBER SPRINGS 21, LONOKE 6

LONOKE - Michael Kramer broke a scoreless tie with a 2-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to Heber Springs (2-1, 1-0) against Lonoke (2-2, 0-1).

In the fourth quarter, Gunner Nelson scored on a 4-yard run and Chandler Marquardt added a 1-yard touchdown run.

CLINTON 62, MARIANNA 0

CLINTON - Mason Speer ran for one touchdown and caught two others as Clinton (2-2, 1-0) blew past Marianna (0-3, 0-1).

Felder Dufrene connected with Speer on both passing touchdowns. Stephen Sappington and Casey Stacks added a rushing touchdown each for Clinton.

GOSNELL 40, BROOKLAND 27

BROOKLAND - Richard Razor ran for four touchdowns and caught a scoring pass and Gosnell handed Brookland its first loss of its maiden season in a 4A-3 Conference game.

Razor’s first touchdown came in the second quarter on a 10-yard pass from Dwight Griffin. He scored again from five yards out to give the Pirates (1-3, 1-0) a 14-0 lead at half time.

Brookland scored in the third quarter on a 1-yard run by Kevin Cantwell and the Bearcats, which began their first varsity season this year, trailed 14-7.

Razor scored from three yards on Gosnell’s next possession and then ran in from nine yards after the Pirates recovered a Bearcat fumble on a kickoff.

Brookland cut Gosnell’s lead to 28-13 when Matt Blevins scored on a 10-yard run. Brookland recovered the ensuing kickoff and Blevins scored on a 2-yard TD run.

But Razor added his fifth touchdown on a 10-yard run with 8:46 left in the game. Gosnell then recovered a Bearcats fumble on the ensuing kickoff and Marcus Mullins scored on a 6-yard run.

Dylan Works threw a 10-yard pass to Brett Robinson with 23 seconds remaining for Brookland’s last score,

Razor rushed for 151 yards on 19 carries and Mullins added 135 yards on 16 carries.

Cantwell ran for 192 yards on 26 carries for Brookland (2-1, 0-1).

MOUNTAINBURG 54, JOHNSON CO. WESTSIDE 28

COAL HILL - Nathan Jones returned an interception for a touchdown and Matthew DeWater ran for 2 scores to lead Mountainburg (3-1, 3-0 4-2A) past Johnson County Westside (2-2, 2-1).

Tyner Johnson added a touchdown on a 15-yard reception for Mountainburg.

Taylor Houston ran for two touchdowns for Johnson County Westside.

POCAHONTAS 33, TRUMANN 0

POCAHONTAS - Spencer Tanner scored two touchdowns and Pocahontas held Trumann (0-4, 0-1) to 87 yards of total offense.

Tanner scored on runs of 21 yards and 5 yards for the Redskins (4-0, 1-0). He rushed for 55 yards total.

Redskins quarterback Jake Kellett threw a 51-yard pass to Jeff Robinson and added a 1-yard scoring run late in the third quarter. Curtis Durham also scored on a 24-yard run and had 54 yards rushing.

Kellett completed 7 of 17 passes for 109 yards and Robinson led the Redskins with three catches for 75 yards.

On their first six possessions, the Redskins’ worst starting field position was their 47. Three times they began drives in Trumann territory.

VALLEY VIEW 56, CAVE CITY 21

CAVE CITY - Noah Johns threw for 229 yards and three touchdowns to lead Valley View (2-2, 1-0) over Cave City (0-3-1, 0-1).

Johns, who finished 16 for 19, threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Peyton Sanders to open the game, and Kaden Hydrick followed up with a 58-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Johns connected with Jacob Lorendana on a 48-yard touchdown pass to bring the score to 21-0 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Cave City opened with a touchdown but Johns answered with another scoring pass to Lorendana for 29 yards to bring the score to 28-7 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Valley View scored on a 38-yard run on a fake punt, and Johns followed with another score - a 60-yard touchdown run.

In the fourth quarter, Tucker Hydrick ran in for a touchdown from 6 yards out, and Jackson McNabb scored on an 11-yard touchdown run for Valley View.

BOONEVILLE 35, WALDRON 0

WALDRON - Bryson May ran for three touchdowns as Booneville (2-2, 1-0 4-4A) rolled up 301 yards rushing in its shutout of Waldron (0-4, 0-1).

May had 13 carries for 53 yards, including touchdown runs of 1, 2 and 13 yards. Jacob Jones finished with eight carries for 80 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown run, and Cody Harrel ran seven times for 85 yards with an 8-yard touchdown run.

DARDANELLE 44, DOVER 6

DARDANELLE - Nick Hendrix ran for two touchdowns as Dardanelle (4-0, 1-0 4-4A) rolled past Dover (0-3, 0-1).

Gerrard Henrandez and T.J. Tucker also had touchdown runs for the Sand Lizards, and Ethan Carter threw a touchdown pass to Parker Wittten.

Kenyon Dulli recovered a fumble for another Dardanelle touchdown, and Antonio Garcia kicked a 25-yard field goal.

MAUMELLE 41, MENA 29

MENA - Terry Rhodes rushed for two touchdowns and passed for another as Maumelle (1-2, 1-0 4-4A) defeated Mena (1-3, 0-1).

Mena trailed 34-29 and took over at its own 5-yard line with two minutes left in the game, but Maumelle held Mena without a first down to get the ball back with one minute left.

Rhodes then ran it in from the 10 to seal the victory.

WARREN 34, CROSSETT 26

CROSSETT - Warren (1-3, 1-0) held off a late rally by Crossett (1-3, 0-1).

Warren led 28-7 before Crossett closed within 28-26.

Darveon Brown scored on a quarterback keeper with 3:36 left for Warren’s final points.

Kilay Cox scored Warren’s first two touchdowns. Von Eric Gorder threw touchdown passes to Brown and Chris Oliver as Warren built its 28-7 lead.

HAMBURG 30, DEWITT 0

DEWITT - Logan Morris threw for a pair of touchdowns to lead Hamburg (2-2, 1-0 8-4A) to a victory over Dewitt (0-3, 0-1).

Morris hit Deandre Raschal for a 21-yard touchdown in the second quarter and added a 32-yard scoring pass to Demonte Burns in the fourth quarter.

Lamarco Harris scored on a 1-yard run for Hamburg and Trey Miller added a 14-yard scoring run.

Oscar Mondragon kicked a 32-yard field goal for Hamburg.

DUMAS 54, LAKE VILLAGE 24

LAKE VILLAGE - Reginald Bailey ran 38 yards for a touchdown on the game’s first play from scrimmage to start its blowout.

Paul Steward finished with 162 yards on 11 carries and Bailey finished with 72 yards on five carries for the Bobcats (1-3, 1-0), who never trailed.

After Bailey’s score, Steward then capped the next drive with a 22-yard touchdown run.

A pair of Dumas fumbles set up two Lake Village (1-3, 0-1) scores and Tamavious Johnson’s 27-yard run and Juwan Parker’s 6-yard run made it 14-12 with 7:04 left in the second quarter.

But Bailey’s 19-yard touchdown run made it 20-12 and Malachi Pointer added an 8-yard run to take a 26-12 lead at halftime.

MONTICELLO 28, STAR CITY 27

STAR CITY - A failed Star City 2-point conversion in the fourth quarter lifted Monticello to victory Friday evening as the Billies (2-2, 1-0) hung on to beat the Bulldogs (3-1, 0-1).

Monticello’s Cole Connelly ran for 107 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown to lead the Billies. Zach Berryman also chalked up a score on the ground with 87 yards on 14 rushes.

But the game came down to a 34-yard touchdown run by Beau Rush with 8:11 left in the fourth quarter that put Monticello on top. Star City answered with a 39-yard touchdown run but the two point conversion failed.

Rush finished with 59 yards as well as nine tackles including two for losses.
