Rogers High School To Celebrate Homecoming

— Homecoming 2012 will be celebrated at Rogers High School on Friday when the Mounties take on the Springdale High School Bulldogs.

This year’s homecoming court was chosen by the Mountie football team and student body. The queen was nominated by the football team and elected by the student body.

Queen Abigail Strickland is the daughter of Mark and Angie Strickland. Abigail will be escorted by football captain Hunter Smith, son of Todd and Amy Smith.

Four maids represent the senior class. Selena Garcia, daughter of Gary and Kerry Smith, will be escorted by Nathan Street, son of Scott and Christine Street. Haley Lundberg, daughter of Robert Lundberg and Sheila Miller, will be escorted by Jordan Wiggins, son of Brian Wiggins and Paige Dial. Jamie Mason, daughter of James and Lori Mason, will be escorted by Chase Lamers, son of Scott and Christy Lamers.

Three maids represent the junior class. Conley Mathews, daughter of Jared and Andrea Boyle, will be escorted by Garrett Kelly, son of Bob Kelly and Carol Schumacher Kelly. Yeni Beltran, daughter of Rafael and Guadalupe Beltran, will be escorted by Ivan Soto, son of Ana Soto. Leigh Leigh Campbell, daughter of Kim and Ginger Campbell, will be escorted by Brian Argo, son of Brian Argo and Kathleen Colyer.

Representing the sophomore class is Ashley Lopez, daughter of Hector and Lorena Lopez, escorted by Chandler Kern, son of Loren and Donna Kern. Mackenzie Hatch, daughter of Lance and Tiffany Hatch, will be escorted by David Orellana, son of Fernando and Maria Orellana. Darby Staples, daughter of John and Kym Staples, will be escorted by Townsend Wenzler, son of Chris Wenzler and Sarah Van Vleck.

Freshman maid Katie Forbis, daughter of Greg and Robin Forbis, will be escorted by Daniel Salvador. Emily Thompson, daughter of Heath and Mandy Thompson and Thad and Rebecca Curtis, will be escorted by Michael Krupka, son of Mike Krupka and Laura Krupka. Lexie Barclay, daughter of John and Sherri Barclay, will be escorted by Drake Henry, son of Brent and Lara Henry.

Serving as crown bearer will be Sydney Gaffney, daughter of Darren and Michelle Gaff ney. Sydney’s grandmother is Billie Sue Hankins, a secretary at Rogers High School. Football bearer is Josiah Hagers, son of Jeff and MeMe Hagers. Josiah’s father is an administrative assistant and Spanish teacher at Rogers High School. The homecoming assembly will be at 2:10 p.m. in the W.E. King Gymnasium at the school. The homecoming parade will be held downtown at 3:45 p.m. The coronation of Queen Abigail will take place at 7 p.m. on the fi eld.
