Siloam Springs sues USA Metal

The city of Siloam Springs is going to court in an attempt to shut down a recycling company from operating in the city. Thomas Kieklak, a Springdale lawyer who represents Siloam Springs, filed the lawsuit Monday in Benton County Circuit Court. The lawsuit is seeking an injunction to stop USA Metal Recycling from operating at its facility at 2109 East Kenwood St. Tom Smith, who often speaks for the company, declined to comment on the lawsuit.

This story is only available from our archives.

USA Metals is using every trick they can to deceive the public while continuing to profit at others expense. They are a "minority owned" business only because they listed Mrs. Smith as the owner. They mis-represent what they intend to operate, and they mis-represent their impact on the areas - and property values - surrounding their facilities. It is time someone saw through this smoke and mirrors and put a stop to this mechanized junk yard operation.
