Threats To Business Unnecessary

What is the purpose of forming an LLC or corporation when you have services or a product to ofter the public?

I always thought forming such an entity gave the shareholders or members legal protection. In Benton County this is not always the case. When a business performs a service for a client, matters relating to payment and the returning of documents should be left up to attorneys, the parties involved and not threats to arrest by the Sheriff’s Office. If either party is physically harmed then, yes, an outside party trained to protect the parties should be contacted. If the business providing the service was Arvest Bank, for example, and the customer were a corporation, the police would not have gone to the personal residence of the shareholder of Arvest demanding the business’ original documents be surrendered immediately to the person waiting in their vehicle behind the police car. What rights do we have when we open a business and form an entity? Those legally written in the law or those that best suit the other business, which is a friend of the officer?

On Feb. 15, an officer, Carlton, from the Sheriff’s Office drove to my house to obtain documents belonging to a client that I had offered to return three times in 15 days.

During the incident I was told the officer would get a warrant for my arrest.

I was severely stressed and devastated by the ordeal. Has the state of the economy caused everyone to lose their sense of right and wrong?

GET OUT OF MY WAY!

Hello Citizens. My name is Mayhem. I drive a vehicle you see everywhere - small, large pickup, whatever. My license plate is “DNT CARE.”

I travel the road that my taxes pay for and do so as if I owned them.

That includes the laws and signage that regulate their use: speed, turn lanes, school zones, etc.

Say you want to turn left at the next intersection?

I will use my “driving privileges” to get into the turn lane and speed past you with no blinker to assure I get there first. By the way, I sometimes drive a big ol’ smokin’ diesel with heavy equipment trailer with out-of-state tags that say “SHOW ME” or “COMM VEH.” You may not know that I’m gonna crowd you out or cut you off, but you’ll find out soon enough.

In case you’re wondering, hold on a minute. I have a text I have to read. But first let me slow down to a crawl and weave and ignore everything around me. It’s my BFF! OMG! Now, why is that guy cussing me?

Where’s a cop when you need one? Oh, he’s on his phone, too!
