Rubbermaid not just about plastic anymore

Rubbermaid features its new Clean and Dry Plunger in a display last month at a Home Depot in Atlanta. Newell Rubbermaid is trying to refresh the brand by focusing on busy moms as its main customer and adding cleaning and bathroom supplies to the brand’s kitchen-container focus.

Rubbermaid made its name on durable plastic containers. It now wants to be known for more, including bathroom cleaning supplies, decorative living room organizers and lunch sized travel kits.
