Sergio Hidalgo Andrade Martinez, 52, who was found guilty last week of eight counts of attempted capital murder, was sentenced to 149 years in prison today in a hearing at Washington County Circuit Court.
Andrade shot Fayetteville police officer Blake Williamson and shot at seven other officers during a standoff at an apartment complex in March. Williamson was hit in the ankle.
The jury recommended sentences that, if run consecutively, could have added up to more than 271 years in prison.
