100 YEARS AGO Dec. 6, 1912 Secretary of State Earle W. Hodges has received only three designs submitted for a state flag, and has requested that all who intend to submit designs do so at once. Arkansas is about the only state in the Union that has no state flag. After the state flag is selected about $175 will be expended in making a large flag for the battleship Arkansas.
