LITTLE ROCK — The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and St. Vincent Health System announced in a news release Wednesday that the two organizations are in preliminary discussions about a "potential affiliation."
The organizations did not provide details about how the the two might collaborate, but said further details would be released Thursday.
"Any affiliation that is pursued will preserve UAMS’ public identity and St. Vincent’s Catholic identity including women’s and reproductive health care services," the parties said in the release.
