FAYETTEVILLE — The Fire Department has identified James Richard Bean as the man who died in a fire on Kantz Lane Saturday morning.
Bean, 83, was found near an exit in his apartment, located at 2121 Kantz Lane.
The four-unit building n the Royal Oaks addition in east Fayetteville caught fire early Saturday morning.
The blaze has been ruled accidental by the city Fire Marshal’s Office, but Fire Department officials said they remain uncertain about the specifics of how the blaze started.
No other residents were injured in the fire.
The cause is being investigated by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
