He attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, is a 1993 graduate of Advanced Technology Institute in Dallas and is a 1989 graduate of Lakeview High School in Rowlett, Texas. He attended Fayetteville High School before transferring to Lakeview.

The groom is the son of Gerri and Jeff Jantz of Yukon, Okla. He is the grandson of the late Eva and Frank Jantz and the late Beverly and Delmer Day.
He is a division order analyst with Chesapeake Energy Corp. in Oklahoma City and is pursuing a law degree at Oklahoma City University. He is a 2007 graduate of MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, Kan., with a bachelor’s degree in communications and business and a 2003 graduate of Putnam City North High School at Oklahoma City.
