— Jordan Call of Bentonville, son of Todd and Anita Call, left recently to serve a voluntary mission forThe Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Carlsbad, Calif. Call will teach the gospel and serve the community for the next two years.

Youth at First United Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, 695 E. Calvin St., will host a chili fundraiser after the 11 a.m. worship service on Sunday.

Traditional chili, vegetarian chili and all-meat chili will be served.

A suggested donation of $5 will benefit the planned July mission trip to Peterstown, W.V., where youth will assist in home repairs for residents.

Wesley United Methodist Church in Springdale will host a chili lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.

The cost is $3. People may dine in or carry out. The money raised will go toward missions. The church is located at 1520 W. Huntsville Ave.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, 224 N. East Ave., will host a screening of the PBS documentary “Doing Virtuous Business” from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The film looks at ancient virtues practiced within the modern business environment. More than a dozen business success stories are featured.

A panel discussion will follow the one-hour documentary. The program is sponsored by the University of Arkansas Tyson Center for Faith and Spirituality in the Workplace and the Servant Leadership School of Northwest Arkansas.

The Stephen Ministers at Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., will sponsor a speaker from Ozarks Community Hospital of Gravette on the topic of senior depression at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

A GriefShare group will start at the church March 5. The weekly support group is for people grieving the death of a close friend or relative.

Bella Vista Christian Church, 103 Riordan Road, will start two new classes March 6. The Sunday Night Campus classes will meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

One is “Hiding God’s Word in your Heart, 101,” which will focus on learning how to memorize scripture easily. The other class is “Old Testament Survey,” a journey through the first five books of the Old Testament.

Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville will host a Partnering with Parents: New Parent Class from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Expectant parents and parents of newborns are invited to meet the children’s ministry team and learn more about the parent/church partnership.

Parents will receive practical tips for teaching their child about God; learn specific ways to pray for their child; hear about infant baptism; and tour the church’s nursery and day care areas.
