— A five-minute promotional video highlighting Fayetteville to potential businesses will air nationwide at 3 p.m. Saturday on the Fox Business Network.

The program, called “Today in America,” shows views of Dickson Street and the downtown square, boasts the city’s rankings in financial magazines and features interviews with Mayor Lioneld Jordan, Steve Clark of the Chamber of Commerce and Dan Sanker, founder of a logistics outsourcing company that opened an office in Fayetteville.

It is narrated by Terry Bradshaw, NFL Hall of Fame quarterback.

“We thought we had a chance to reach out past our borders for the first time and let people know: This is who we are,” said Lindsley Smith, city communication director.

Fayetteville officials paid $19,800 for the production from its economic development fund. In addition to the national broadcast Saturday, it will air four times in 19 regional markets, including Atlanta and Dallas.

“The purpose is to promote the city so that we could attract more businesses and create more jobs,” said Chung Tan, chember economic development manager.

When businesses inquire about moving to Fayetteville, Tan said chamber staff will include a copy of the video in marketing packet that promotes the city.
