WEDDING: LAURA ASHLEY HOLDER JOHN MARK JANSEN

— Laura Ashley Holder and John Mark “Pinky Gonzales” Jansen exchanged wedding vows Friday, Oct. 22 at 5:30 p.m. at the Riverwood Mansion. The bridegroom’s father, the Rev. Jim Jansen of Mercer Island Covenant Church in Seattle officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Christy and Dr. Robert Holder of Bentonville and Marsha and John Phillips of Rogers. She is the granddaughter of Cora and the late Robert Holder of McCrory and Mary and Marvin Scherz of Rogers.

The bridegroom is the son of Judy and Jim Jansen of Seattle. He is the grandson of Donna and the late Andrew Andre of Longview, Wash., the late Merle Cole of Bend, Ore., the late Rena and Jim Sheridan of Eugene, Ore., and the late Edith and Robert Jansen of Cannon Beach, Ore.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a lace strapless dress in ivorywith a silk shantung sash and a small train. She wore small white flowers in her hair and carried a bouquet of craspedia, pale yellow ranunculus, lisianthus, white wax flower, echeveria, dusty miller and blue delphinium.

The couple exchanged vows in a garden at the mansion under an arbor decorated with natural hops garlands and baby’s breath. Instrumental music was provided by the bride’s brother, Jonathan Holder of Fayetteville. Jennifer Perez of Newbert, Ore., the bridegroom’s sister, was reader.

Matron of honor was Amanda Adams of Franklin, Tenn. She wore a floorlength halter-style dress in green chiffon and carried a bouquet of craspedia, pale yellow ranunculus and dusty miller.

Emma Cate Adams was flower girl and Will Adams was ring bearer.

Jonathan Holder, brother of the bride, was best man. Nathan and Jordan Jansen, brothers of the bridegroom, and ElliotHolder, brother of the bride, were ushers.

After the ceremony, a reception was held in the mansion. The woodland theme of the garden was carried inside with table decorations of moss, birch branches, natural stones and live succulents. Reception music was provided by The Wrights and a disc jockey.

The bride has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Watkins College of Art and Design in Nashville. She is owner of Red Ribbon Fox Design in Nashville.

The bridegroom is an adjunct professor of brand development and digital strategy at Belmont University in Nashville and owns Pinky Gonzales LLC, also in Nashville.

After a wedding trip to Scotland and Ireland, the couple will reside in East Nashville, Tenn.
