UCA earns road victory

Jessica Hays had 13 kills and 11 digs to lead Central Arkansas to a 25-14, 25-22, 25-20 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (11-14, 4-7) on Thursday in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Chloe Smith had 16 kills for UCA (22-6, 11-0 Southland), which won its 16th consecutive match this season and 33rd consecutive conference match.

Arkansas Tech wins again

Brennae Benda had 18 digs and Sarah Von Lienen had 16 kills and six blocks to lead Arkansas Tech to a 23-25, 25-23, 25-16, 25-19 victory over Christian Brothers (16-12, 8-3) on Thursday at Canale Arena in Memphis.

Harding sweeps UAM

Mollie Arnold had 15 kills and 13 digs to lead Harding to a 31-29, 25-16, 25-21 victory over Arkansas-Monticello on Thursday in Searcy.

Amber Schinzing had 43 assists and 12 digs for Harding (15-10, 8-2 Gulf South Conference) and Emily Tate had 16 digs. Stephanie Hatton had 21 digs to lead UAM (2-25, 0-10), while Vikki Crisco had 34 assists.

SAU snaps losing streak against HSU

Southern Arkansas snapped a four-match losing streak against Henderson State and earned its third consecutive victory with a 16-25, 26-24, 25-23, 20-25, 15-13 victory Thursday at the W.T. Watson Athletic Center in Magnolia.

Maggie Glover and Courtney Smith had 14 kills each to lead Southern Arkansas (16-12, 4-7). Kahli Remy had 29 digs. Robin Law led Henderson State (14-11, 5-5) with 24 kills and 20 digs.

BASKETBALL

John Brown men win at new arena

Five John Brown players scored 10 or more points as the Eagles defeated Hillsdale Freewill Baptist (Okla.) 77-57 on Thursday at Bill George Arena in Siloam Springs.

Andrius Mikutis led John Brown with 18 points and Adrian Miller added 14 points and five rebounds. E.J. McWoods and Sam Bartlett scored 12 points each for the Eagles and Coleson Rakestraw had 11. Sam Webber led Hillsdale Freewill Baptist with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
