1-4A CONFERENCE

GENTRY 21, PRAIRIE GROVE 17

PRAIRIE GROVE - Gentry (6-3, 4-2 1-4A) scored twice in the final four minutes to defeat Prairie Grove (4-5, 2-4) and earn its first trip to the playoffs since 1998.

Austin Millsap hit Justin Stewart with a 37-yard touchdown pass with 3:55 left in the game, then sealed the victory for Gentry with a 9-yard touchdown pass to Dylan Ochs with 27 seconds left.

Ethan Ramsey scored Gentry’s other touchdown on a 1-yard run with 45 seconds left in the first half.

Prairie Grove scored its first touchdown on a 36-yard pass from Cooper Winters to Landon West with 8:04 left in the first quarter. Weston Barthlomew scored its other touchdown on an 11-yard run in the fourth quarter, and Landon Allen kicked a 35-yard field goal.

GRAVETTE 48, BERRYVILLE 9

GRAVETTE - Darrick Strzelecki rushed for 268 yards and four touchdowns as Gravette (8-1, 5-1 1-4A) beat Berryville (1-8, 0-6) and clinched a first-round home game in the Class 4A playoffs.

Strzelecki scored on runs of 5, 10, 19 and 32 yards.

Brian Hendren added a 14-yard touchdown reception for Gravette. Dallas Kerley returned a fumble 33 yards for another score, and Stanley Heyward had a 3-yard touchdown run.

Pedro Acuna scored on a 1-yard run for Berryville.

4-4A CONFERENCE

SUBIACO ACADEMY 23, MENA 2

SUBIACO - Manuel Valenzuela kicked three field goals and 2 extra points as Subiaco Academy (6-3, 5-1 4-4A) defeated Mena (7-2, 5-2).

Valenzuela’s field goals were from 19, 27 and 38 yards.

Marquis Walters had 17 carries for 100 yards to lead Subiaco’s rushing attack. Jacob Nehus scored a touchdown on a 1-yard run.

BOONEVILLE 39, DARDANELLE 10

BOONEVILLE - Talor Tatterson ran for 144 yards and two touchdowns and returned an interception for another as Booneville (9-0, 6-0 4-4A) defeated Dardanelle (3-6, 2-4).

Tatterson scored on runs of 63 and 5 yards, and his interception return covered 9 yards.

Chad Simpson added a 5-yard touchdown run, and Jacob Jones scored on a 25-yard run.

Joey Collins had a 1-yard touchdown run for Dardanelle, and Randy Valesquez kicked a 42-yard field goal.

DOVER 22, WALDRON 0

DOVER - Austin Thomas had 4 receptions for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns as Dover (4-5, 1-5 4-4A) beat Waldron (1-8, 0-6).

Jody Brown connected with Thomas for touchdown passes of 25 and 54 yards. Dover’s other touchdown came on a 26-yard run by Brown.

POTTSVILLE 54, CLARKSVILLE 27

POTTSVILLE - D.J. Robertson and Quwillin Porter scored touchdowns as Pottsville (6-3, 4-2 4-4A) defeated Clarksville (3-6, 2-4).

Justin Keene also had a safety for Pottsville.

1-3A CONFERENCE

MARSHALL 21, YELLVILLE-SUMMIT 14

MARSHALL - Mason Millsap had 16 carries for 166 yards and 2 touchdowns as Marshall (5-4, 3-3- 1-3A) held off Yellville-Summit (6-3, 3-3).

Millsap opened the scoring with a 70-yard run. He added a 40-yard run in the third quarter.

Justin Morrison returned a kickoff 82 yards for Marshall’s other touchdown.

MOUNTAIN VIEW 24, GREEN FOREST 23

GREEN FOREST - Tyler Callahan scored three touchdowns to lead Mountain View (4-5, 2-4 1-3A) past Green Forest (2-7, 1-5).

Dylan Allen rushed 17 times for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns for Green Forest, scoring on runs of 4 and 2 yards.

4-2A CONFERENCE

UNION CHRISTIAN 44, DECATUR 0

DECATUR - Mohammed Matlock scored three touchdowns and Matt Callaway added two as Union Christian (3-5, 3-4 4-2A Conference) shut out Decatur (1-7, 1-6).

Callaway caught two touchdown passes from Cheyenne Rogers, the first covering 50 yards in the first quarter and the second covering 53 in the second quarter. Callaway finished with 109 yards receiving, and he added 75 yards rushing on 6 carries.

Matlock also scored on a 50-yard punt return and on an 85-yard kickoff return that opened the second half.

Rogers completed 5 of 15 passes for 143 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Union Christian held Decatur to minus-3 yards of total offense and didn’t allow a first down.

DANVILLE 62, POYEN 6

DANVILLE - Danville (8-1, 6-1 2A-4) scored 31 unanswered points in the first quarter of a victory over Poyen (2-7, 2-6 2A-5).

Blake Noakes scored on a 37-yard interception return and a 58-yard punt return. Poyen allowed a second special teams touchdown when Sean Tyra scored on a 32-yard punt return.

Danville quarterback Mike Jiles completed 5 passes for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Poyen scored its only touchdown in the second quarter, but trailed 59-6 at the half.

HACKETT 34, JOHNSON COUNTY WESTSIDE 8

COAL HILL - Dillon Yazel ran for 176 yards and 2 touchdowns and Evan Ray threw for 3 touchdowns as Hackett (6-3, 5-2 4-2A) defeated Johnson County Westside (5-4, 3-4).

Yazel gained all his yards on eight carries. He scored on runs of 90 and 27 yards.

Ray completed 4 of 7 passes for 67 yards. He hit Dexter Holcombe with touchdown passes covering 17 and 32 yards, and threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Cody Jones.

Dakota McBride added 100 yards rushing on 9 carries for Hackett.

MAGAZINE 24, MOUNTAINBURG 14

MAGAZINE - Ryan Chambers had a 53-yard touchdown run as Magazine (8-0, 7-0 4-2A) kept its perfect season alive with a victory over Mountainburg (6-3, 5-3).

Long Yang added a 52-yard touchdown run for the Rattlers, and Josh Dority scored on a 3-yard run. Lino Singer also kicked a 22-yard field goal.

Nathan Jones connected with Wes Lemonier for touchdown passes of 50 and 66 yards.
